To Snap or Cut?

I'm trying to root some cuttings for a Honeycomb Butterfly Bush using WS methods (using a milk jug to create a "greenhouse" effect) since I've heard the seeds, if you can find them, are sterile. Would it be better for me to cut the stems or snap them off? I plan to root more bushes over this weekend. I figure that the closed environment of a jug would be ideal for keeping the babies warm and moist.

Any information would be helpful as this is the first time I'm trying this. I really want to do it with the bi-colored one if this works.

Thanks, Felicia
