Growing lilies from fans.

I just have a quick question. I never tried growing lilies from the fan form before, only bulbs, so I am not exactly sure what I should expect. I planted about 30 separate lily fans last week, as the temperatures are still mild in my area. I did the cone method of planting and watered them well right after planting.

The fanned growth is changing from the dark green color to a yellow-green, but not dead yellow, yet. Is this normal? Is there something that I may have missed that may be wrong?
