It needs a pot big enough to make baby bulbs in the soil, at the base of the mama bulb. They sell bulbs in big bins at this time of year, if you're impatient to have more, more quickly. If you have ground space for gardening, you can put your bulb in the ground for summer, then dig it up in the fall. It should enlarge more quickly that way, and can be stored dormant in a cool, dry place.
