It might be pretty well impossible but I have layered a couple of branches, ...will see.

konrad___far_north, Do you like to tinker? I might suggest you take some cuttings you want to root between mid November and mid January, dab them with a rooting compound that has a fungicide and put them in your favorite rooting medium in the dark and in a warm place and see what happens.

Thank you Albert, I've done exactly this at least twice and nothing happened, but not sure anymore if it had fungicide. I'll go back and check it out. Is this very critical? Any link on this product?

I can't get around much anymore but I did notice Amazon had a rooting compound with fungicide.

When I was playing with these things I got the feeling that with some plants the fungicide did more good than the auxin. There are some procedures out there for sterilizing the cutting. Wash the cutting in dilute bleach and rinse thoroughly was one, as I recall.
