Thistles have very robust roots. Too robust!
We have all varieties of thistle on our property so I wondered if it'd be possible to graft something onto a thistle stem. Perhaps artichokes (closely related). Or sunflowers (more distant). Or even pumpkin vines (very distant)?
Is this even worth experimenting with? Completely unlikely? Plausible?
