Mela Pa Bowman has the same growth habit as singapore white. The leaves are super dark, thick and shiny like Singapore but its shapped with a point more like a Celadine. Some winters my MPB keeps her leaves some she will drop them but closer towards spring like in March. Flowers and grows very prolifically, huge inflos with strong perfume. The only issue i have with MPB is that is kind of leggy, the positive is it never gets black tip. Of the evergreens MPG and Hong Kong, and DSP or my favs. I think you will love MPB, I rooted mine from a cutting was super easy.

Well,I see snow in the background of the Singapore in winter in California. They seem to be just as hardy as P.rubra..but expecting green all year foliage might be hard to get unless its in ground and gets sun all day in winter. I think they are faster growing then P.rubra,but others don't agree They do branch more. So a denser shrub.

Celadine can have glossy foliage too. Its another best choice Plumeria all the way to the SF Bay Area.
