I can't drive there from Chicago---but they certainly have sent me some fine plants over the years. They have a very interesting assortment and very healthy plants, very well packed.

Ordered from them last spring (2010). I was thrilled with the plants I got from this company. Considering how low the prices where I figured the plants would be tiny. Not so! They were well sized with large root systems, carefully packaged in plastic wrap so no dirt would come out en route. The Epimedium I got was even larger than the few I have gotten locally! The shipping took a little longer than expected (not the nurseries fault) but the plants arrived perky and healthy just the same. And the costumer service was great in helping figure out when the box of plants should arrive.

I also like that shipping costs incredibly LOW from Joy Creek. Most times I decide not to order from other companies because they seem so unreasonably high when shipping a few plants. Will always check Joy Creek's site first to see if they have what I want available.
Would highly recommend them.
