We visited Bob Wells Nursery this past weekend, after faxing a request for 16 trees, 3 grapevines and 60 asparagus crowns. To our surprise, the order was ready and wrapped extremely well with roots that were protected and dampened, since they knew we were transporting the plants ourselves. All the plants were larger than expected and had big, healthy root systems that had to be seen to be believed! In addition, we were told how to prepare the trees for planting and how to hold them if we had to. They even said to phone them or e-mail them with any questions! I highly recommend ordering from Bob Wells Nursery. They ship container plants year around, and bare-root when the plants are dormant. For us here in the South, planting dormant trees is best.
