I learned from training with my Master Gardeners. I like to take whatever extra classes are available.

To date, I have been successful grafting all my citrus.

To date, I have not a rose that I have successfully grafted. I just have not had good luck getting the grafts to take.

I do have a pretty nifty book. "The Grafter's Handbook' by R.J. Garner. It is published in association with The Royal Horticulture Society. It explains all kinds of grafting, some of which I would not have considered, and it is well illustrated.

I had a half day citrus grafting class at nearby university. It was long ago and I don't recall how I discovered the class was to be held. It was in the agricultural department at that time as I recall.

Over the years I have learned there are a lot of good things for the public at universities but finding them is not easy. Should you be within a reasonable commute I would suggest the universities website, library, department of agriculture, extension service...what else people, help me here...
