Another one of the pepper plants from a different batch of seeds that produced peppers that are much lighter. Is there a reason for the lighter peppers.

I would guess Thai hot pepper..

I am growing a thai hot pepper for the first time this year. It has a couple of pods on it now and they are pointing upwards as are the ones in the photos above. However, they are shaped more like a cayenne at this point than the ones in the photos. They are longer and skinnier.

Oh, and when they are said to be "CHINESE" peppers, I think they mean to say "Chinense" which referes to the species of the plant. Not the actual variety.

Definitely NOT C.chinense - probably C.annuum. I believe Chinese, but nothing I've ever seen. Similar to Thai in form but the pod is not Thai.

BTW, those last three pics are upside down.

Weirdly on my ipad the pics are right side up but on my android phone it's upside down...

Is it related to the Tabasco pepper? It looks similar.

sichuan facing heaven peppers???..it probably is Chinese annuum..similar to tepins ,bird pepper,Tabasco .....gonna bet its very hot...Sichuan and henan china are the chili cities..good luck
