Here is an interesting article from the Garden Design mag site about the beginnings of the redesign of an inherited family garden. The writer (a garden writer, actually) decided to call in a California designer for a consultation. Well written to my mind in that it takes into consideration the emotional impact the garden has on the writer and how that effects the restoration.
