I planted several new Dicentra "Alba" plants this summer and since I cannot bear to throw anything away, I saved some cuttings from the plants.
They have now rooted and are slowly growing, but they will never make it over the winter. They are in four inch pots and are about 3-4 inches high.
I'm in the Adirondacks where we get a decent amount of snow cover, but -30(F) for a week at a time isn't out of the question.
My question...
Do I leave them in the pots an unheated cold frame and mulch heavily...
Do I bring them in and keep them under the lights with my other cuttings (coleus mostly)
Do I plant them and just cross my fingers?
I also have a catmint that is about the same size that I'm not sure what to do about.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks!
Paula
