We are painting our new house and trying to decide what finish to paint our crown moulding. The wall will be eggshell and the trim semi-gloss, but we are heard that the crown should be painted flat to match the ceiling.

Is it better for the crown to be flat to match the ceiling or semi-gloss to match the trim?

Also, we have a 9 square coffered ceiling in the living room. Should the trimmed sqaures be painted flat or semi-gloss.

There is lots of talk about colours but not much about the paint finish.

Any advice would be much appreicated.
