Rooted, but weepy leaves

Hi!

I'm new to propagation via cuttings (& gardening in general). I have found lots of useful information on this message board, thanks!

I have been quite successful recently with getting roots and new growth. However, my first tranplanting to soil and outside of the plastic bag, caused the leaves to wilt. After cutting off a bunch of leaves, I've saved the plant.

I then read a post that said to transplant, but put it back in the plastic bag to maintain the humidity level and each day open the bag a little more. So...I just finished doing that and the leaves have totally wilted (I mist the leaves 2x a day).

Any suggestions?

1) you MAY have damaged the roots when transplanting
2) is the soil damp & lightly fertilized
3) was the transplant in filtered light oor direct sun
4) the high humidity is needed when there are no roots but after root formation theroots will yake up water as needed & if soil is damp.

root rot, caused by lack of oxygen in the root zone can cause symptoms similar to wilting. Even newly rooted cuttings should be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Wilting is highly revesable, root rot is not.
