Firespike Leaf Rooted in Water

I got a pink Firespike leaf (Odontonema callistachyum) from someone while at the SA TXGW swap; I put it in a cup of water while at the swap and it's been there ever since. As of this last Saturday (14 days later) it had 3 strong roots coming from the end of the petiole.
