cuttings' need for sun

11 years ago

I start all cuttings in shade.
At some safe random point they go into appropriate sun
(usually when I am prompted either by new availability of sun space,
or by need for shade space).

It happens randomly because I do not know
- whether sun can be beneficial to cuttings at any time before roots exist;
nor
- the extent to which sun may be important to cuttings while roots are new and few.
Let us assume sun-loving plants.

Cautionary statements unnecessary.
