Documenting a garden restoration

Following Ginny's lead, let me start a new thread to draw attention to something I fear may get lost at the end of an old one.

I recently visited the website for Hillwood -- the former estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post, located here in Washington, D.C.--and discovered that they have devoted a substantial section of their website to explaining and documenting the recent restoration of the gardens there, stage by stage. I thought it was great they would post such info there for the public. It gives a really good sense of the type of careful work that goes into restoring a signficant period garden, and I thought others here would find it of interest.

(Fran, if you're out there, I hope you don't mind me using your place of employment as an example, but I thought the website was really terrific!)

Here is a link that might be useful: Hillwood Garden Restoration
