White sap on cuttings

I have some cutting outside and I'm misting them twice a day. They are under cover so they do not get rain. Some of them are expelling a little white sap when I mist them.

Never head of this. Is this normal. Some have the beginning of leaves and have been potted up over 4 weeks. . Still green and look healthy.
