The scent is a spicy fragrance.. I can't explain it any better.. Sorry!!!
I wish I could describe it better for you, but it does have a wonderful fragrance. Hopefully it will open next year for you!!! Mine is thirsty, actually all of them have been lately. I will add that the most thirsty Plumeria is Divine and Kapalua. This one still wants water more than any other tree!!! Thirsty Kapalua!!!
