A plumeria tragedy.
Oh my goodness, you won't believe what I found upon returning from work yesterday.
I have my 5 plumeria seedlings that I started early in the summer on my arbor outside that by Fiance built me. I have to keep them on the arbor shelf because our dogs stay outside, and they've been on a real destructive streak lately (we have Labs, the most destructive breed, I've just learned...).
My dog climbed on the shelf and knocked all 5 seedlings down as well as my firecraker plant!!! I was so furious!! These are my babies, my favorite plants of all!
Funny thing is, they weren't after the plants....they just wanted to chew on the pots. I've lost about 10 pots this way in the past two weeks alone. But I never imagined they'd look up on the arbor shelf.
I think I managed to save two of the seedlings; they were burried under a pile of dirt. But the other three were thrashed!!
I don't know what I am going to do with these pups, but a dog run is in their future, I believe. They've also taken to sitting in my small pond and chewing on my turtle spitter; he's faceless now.
Wish me luck on saving my seedlings, and anyone need a dog?
:)
