Help!! Is my Plumeria ill??

Hi

I havent posted much on here but about 2 years ago I managed to get a plumeria psycho white on here. I successfully rooted the cutting and have had it for about 2 and a half years. This coming season would be its third flowering period.

About 6 days ago I noticed silky threadlike structures in the crevices of the nodes as well at base of the petioles. I saw very small white spots everywhere and they seemed to be on the leaves and stem.

I thought they were spider mites or some sort of web-creating mite, so I made a 50/50 mix of water and vegetable oil, and gave the plant a good spritzing followed by a dousing of water and wiping.

I left for fall break and returned to see my baby very ill :(

I have since been periodically spritzing with water and wiping the leaves with cloth. I have also gone and removed all of the remaining webs from when I initially doused in the oil mix.

There appears to be necrotic lesions on the leaves and the leaf stems appear to have large creasing bruises which are brown.

A few leaves even fell right off after turning completely yellow

I am completely unaware if this has been asked before. I am unsure if I have done the wrong thing In applying an oil mix, and maybe defoliating the plant entirely would be most effective.

Any guidance would be much appreciated, for the time being Im leaving my plant as is and continuing the wiping of leaves with water.
