Sun Burn/Scald

I have several different kinds of peppers this year and virtually all of them have sun burn on several of their pods. Last year, the only ones that got sun burned were my a couple of my CHarleston pods. This year, my Hot Hungarian Wax, Sweet Banana Peppers, Jalapenos, and my Orange and Red Tree Habaneros. Most plants have serveral pods with the dark sun burn coloring. Why so many this year? We had an unusually hot/dry period in June and July but if that is the cause, then all you Texas, Arizona and Florida growers would have it all the time...Do you? I am not worried about it, just curious.

I noticed some sun scald on one of my bhuts today. It must have happened this week, because I know it wasn't there last week. I don't believe the weather has been very different, as a matter of fact, it's actually been 5 to 10 degrees cooler. Strange.

This is just MHO I contribute it to the UV rays are slowily intensifying. As I noticed back when I did landscaping. Each year it took less time to tan or sunburn. An noticed the older tree leaves scorched very easily. An am noticing now full sun plants can't handle that many hours of sun without shade clothes or breaks of shade. I agree something strange. As cool weather and clear sky days are scalding plants.
