Greenhouse lighting

I would like to try to keep some of my plumerias growing this winter in my new greenhouse. I have a lighting question. For starters, here is some background information that may be helpful. I have a 10'L x 10'W x 8'H canopy-style greenhouse (http://kingcanopy.com/greenhouse.htm). The greenhouse is located on the south side of my house with no shade whatsoever. I live in Pearland, TX (zone 9a) where we have very mild winters. The greenhouse will be heated using an electric heater when necessary, I should have no problem keeping the temperature above the 50-60F range. The plumerias that I want to keep in the greenhouse range from 1' to 4' in height.

I know that I will need some supplemental lighting to keep the plumerias from going dormant. My question is, for my situation what kind of lighting will be necessary. I should get a minimum of 10.25 hours of sunlight during the short December days.

Would a 250 or 400 watt HPS setup be overkill in my case?

How many T12 or T8 fluorescent tubes would it take?

Are the 100W fluorex setups worthwhile?

Thanks for any input,

John.
