Hi, Before anyone can really give you a correct answer they will need to know what zone are you in and what state are you located in. When to plant really depends on your zone and last norm frost date.

I am not frost free here yet as well so all my new roses,including 7 minis are still in pots so if we do get a frost, I can put them all back in the cold frame. Are your mins in the small band containers or in regular pots. If they are still in bands, you should repot them into a 1gal pot until they get a bit bigger and then plant them. And if they are going into the ground I would wait until the last norm frost day. (for me that is mid April).

Thanks!, they are in normal pots, but are really quite small, just 4-5 inches high. The red one's flower is pretty big, but not a typical rose size. I think they are going in the ground, but the tag said they are winter hardy in most of North America. So, I was wondering if it would harm them to put them out. They are flowering, and have buds, so am wanting for them to keep blooming!

They are really to small to put straight into the ground. I would keep them in pots outside until you see they are putting on strong growth. This way if it does dip into the freezing temps again you can bring them inside. One suggestion is to not let them bloom as they will use their engery to bloom, instead of putting down good strong roots.

They will probably be reasonably winter hardy after they have become established. However, when they are so young and have not experienced cold weather conditions, I would keep them in pots until you have passed your normal last frost date. In zone 6 that should be coming up pretty soon.

Remember they came out of a greenhouse. You can set them out during the day, and take them in at night. I won't plant any minis till mid April. Mother's Day is the last average day that you will get a freeze in our area, Central Illinois. So you can use that as a guideline!
