Dragon's Fire just arrived from Chamblee's fully in bud with a couple of blooms already open. What a beauty!

Denver's Dream I got locally bare root in early January. I got the last one and managed to snatch it just before someone else asked for it! Its blooming now and looks gorgeous! I can't believe how deep and fiery the orange is!

Incognito appears to be indestructable. It was a band and I potted it for a couple of months before putting it in the ground, but it was still pretty tiny. I've stepped on it at least 3 times while planting things around it. It hasn't blinked and has a fat bud on it now.

Always A Lady is an adpoted rose from a forum member who is downsizing her garden. The pictures look scrumptious. She came pruned down hard and essentially bare rooted. I have her potted and she's growing well.

The rest all came as band sized plants and are in pots waiting for their permanent homes.

I already had Hot Tamale, Gourmet Popcorn, Sweet Chariot, Black Jade and Red Cascade.

Any comments about these varieties are welcome.

Well the 42 I already have just weren't enough. I bought 4 at HD.....no names but beautiful roses. I also ordered 5 from Rosemania. They are:

Jerry Lynn
Anne Hering
Sublime
Class of '73
Luscious Lucy

I'm sure more will follow me home this year. At least they don't take up much room and grow in pots nicely.

You have some great roses. Is weeping china doll a standard? Oh those are so pretty.

There's a rose with Dragon in the name? I feel compelled to own it - and it's fragrant, too, I see? Your choices sound great - I hope they do well for you!

I'm just starting out, and I've got Winter's Magic, Cinderella, and Quiet Time in pots in the back, along with a Voilet mist, Ruthie, and a floribunda "Bonnie Jack". I don't think Ruthie and Bonnie Jack are going to survive, but we'll see.

I read every message on the board and made my list from all the favorites you folks recommended, and I went overboard. I just got my order from NorEast:

The Jeanne LaJoie was kind of spindly, but I think someone here on the board said that his was slow to take off.
And I didn't buy any new large roses this year. Yet.
