I remember this from last year too, the same exact situation. It is growing like a weed but the buds are dropping off. It is loaded with them and some are staying on and after my first flush of buds last season they seemed to stay on and bloom. It is aggrivating after waiting all winter, to have all my first buds dropping. What in the world could this be from? The only problems I've had was aphids and the minnie pearl was one of the least affected so I doubt that has anything to do with it.
