I'm not in z5, but I wouldn't try it. Jeanne gets to be a big 'un on its own in these parts. I think some of the other z5 folks or Tenor_peggy who used to live in z5 can give more info. If you want to combine such things, climbing roses with clematis seems to be popular (but again, I don't know if clematis is good for your zone).

Yes I am starting to realize that about Jeanne. My parents have a clematis growing up a trellis so I think I will move it in with them (meet your new neighbor). Snowfall can stay where it is for now, in an 18'pot with some strawberries. I just wanted one HERE and not at my parents so I can enjoy it on my deck.

I was going to suggest one for you and then I realized you probably can't get it up there anyways...I also don't believe you can put two climbers in one pot. They'd be pretty crowded pretty quick. You could possibly plant in a very large pot, a small mini at the base of your climber. That was suggested to me a long time ago. That was in the ground, but you could try it in a container. That's still a lot of roots for one pot to hold but not as many as two very large mini climbers would be, but maybe not the effect you were looking for.
