Roses don't do well indoors. You plant could either be over-watered or under-watered (the potting medium should be moist not wet, and also it might be root bound so that water isn't getting where it should).

I live in NW Tennessee. Ten years ago my hubby got me a mini rose (for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it). It was tiny. I planted it outside because I kNEW it would die inside my warm house. It was 6 inches tall when I planted it and mulched it well. The blooms are about the size of a quarter.
Look at it now. If I didn't constantly prune it, the darn thing would be 15 feet tall. You can tell a little about the size by the chair and the bench in the picture. This was right after a hard rain storm and you can see that lots of petals blew off on the ground.
