Hi Pappu. I am kinda new to this forum, I usually hang out at Cottage Garden and California gardening, but I occasionally like to check the Rose forums out. Anyhow, I have some cupidos--several of the hot pink "Royal Sparkling", and several of the "Royal White". Mine are about 2 years old, and are about 2 feet tall and a bit less wide (planted in the ground). My whites seem to be a bit larger by a few inches than the hot pink ones. I am not sure whether the color pink you have is the same as my hot pink ones, so am not sure what yours will do as far as height, but they should be pretty close to what I have. I just trim mine back a few inches at the end of winter as needed to tidy the bush shape. If you don't plant them too close (no closer than 12-15 inches in my climate anyway) and not right up against a structure, you shouldn't have much of a disease problem. I hardly if ever spray them- they seem to be resistant to black spot, but I had some in a windowbox and they became crowded over the 2 yrs. and had some problems with powdery mildew (I just the other day planted them out into the garden); they were smaller in the container than ones in the ground. I do believe that you can cut them back by half each spring, and possibly keep their size down this way. Also, with your shorter growing season, they should stay smaller. Oh, and I 'm sorry but I can't tell you a thing about overwintering roses. I hope you enjoy your new addition, and that they bloom gangbusters for you (mine do). Becky
