seed pods

I live in North Central FL and have just put all of my Plumies into my greenhouse for winterizing. I have 14 seed pods on 5 plants. The seed pods are ready to be harvested (very dark brown, woody looking with line from top to bottom.) My question is....can I leave them on until spring or should I take them off now? I don't know if leaving them on even though they are probably ready now will hurt the viability of germinating next spring. If I take them off now, they should be OK until I germinate them in the Spring but just wanted an opinion about leaving them on the plants. Any info would be appreciated.
