That's sad. I've had a sudden yen for miniatures this year and am noticing how few nurseries still have them after Nor'East closed. We are loosing too many good rosarians. May God bless his family in their time of need.

Hi...I'm Vernon's daughter-in-law. His death was quite a shock, but there's really been no time to think about that while we are trying to fill his shoes! We (his family) knew ABSOLUTELY nothing about roses or his business until this past week! So we will probably be looking to all of you to help us!!!

Vernon's sudden passing shocked a lot of us and he will be greatly missed. I purchased a few minis from him at our district rose meeting and I have been very pleased with his recommendations.

I'm very sad to read about Vernon, and I share in everyone's sorrow. In my transactions with him, Vernon was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and kind. My sympathy to his grieving family.

I just now found out about Vernon's passing and want to add my condolences to his family. I used to go to his nursery every year to buy roses and he always spent a lot of time with me answering questions and showing me around. He was a wonderful person, an expert rosarian, a great breeder, and loved to share the passion for the beauty of roses. I am very sad to hear this news.
