I think this rose has been mislabeled. There are two others that are named Lavender Lace, and they are both much, much lighter in color than this rose. I saw this same rose at Home Depot labeled Lavendar Lace, but I know it is Lavender Jewel, a Ralph Moore rose. I bought it because I had lost my other Lavender Jewel. Ralph Moore also was the introducer of Lavendar Lace, the mini, which I said is a much lighter color and is supposed to be fragrant.
Then there is the Lavander Lace that J&P introduced this year, which I also have, but I am not sure what the class is. It is like a silvery gray, and the flowers are miniature in size on my plant (it's a rose tree). I have been into miniature roses for about 20 yrs., have about 700 plants, so I feel I know the Ralph Moore roses pretty well.
I hope you don't mind my feedback on the rose being mislabeled.

I bought this rose from Home Depot also (labeled Lavender lace) A couple of years later, after doing some research, I decided it was Lavender Jewel.

I shake my head every time I see those pots mislabeled as L.L. every year, year after year. Do the suppliers arbitrarily put a tag on it, the closest thing they can find? Why do they do this?

Lavender Lace is a Moore miniature from 1968.

Lavender Jewel was hybridized by Moore, 10 years later, in 1978.

A new J&P Lavender Lace was introduced in 2004.

What research led you to believe it was mislabeled?
