You don't want to grow the same minis all summer and all winter.
They will grow inside under lights OK, but roses like to have a rest (dormant) period too.
If I have minis inside under my lights I will take them outside by mid to end of Jan.to give them some rest. It all depends where you live.

I just checked and I see that you live in Canada. I am on the W. coast near Vancouver.

Thank you George Mander, I had only just " discovered " you but had not read about growing minis on your site. I'll go there now, and I suspect that what I will have to do is put the minis out in about end of Feb. or so, because of the cold winters here in the Canyon. does that mean they will still want to flower at the usual time outdoors? I had hoped to have them flowering inside... anyway, I will go to your link now.

You can have your minis inside from now until end of Feb. Then when you want them to go dormant put them where it does not freeze. Garage etc. where the temp. is just above 3 to 4 C. but not warmer than 8 to 10 C.
Later on your minis will flower again the usual time outdoors.
