my friend recently bought a house in claverack, ny (columbia county). it seems like there were some gardeners at some point in the history. walking around her property, we found peach trees, pear trees, apple trees, rhubarb, grapes, asparagus... we'll probably find more --- it's a bit overgrown now, and there are probably more treasures waiting to be re-discovered.

but, there is a rose bush growing along the road-side. she asked me what it is, but i'm not very good at identifying roses just yet. i have posted some pics on this photo bucket web site. does anyone have any ideas of what it might be? what are the clues to help determine the identity?
