No, not for a few miles. It was pretty far out.

Now that I think about it there aren't any old houses or farms near where I found it at all. Again I could be wrong though as I wasn't exploring out there, just fishing. I may want to look on Google maps

Yes, there was plenty of R. Setigera near where I found it plus other wild species. I saw some Multiflora as well.

Interesting. I was thinking along the lines of euonymus or daylilies or other Cultivated plants that may indicate a Prior homestead.

No not that I saw. Just that rose, no other plants that could be signs of prior habitation. Though it is to late for the Daffodils

Well, Multiflora could indicate It's a super pretty rose. Oops Who is erasing everything I write.
