Name That Rose!

Old Homestead Rose Found ~ Red Climber

Hello, my daughter found this pretty red climber when we went rustling this weekend. She's really excited and wants to tell her grandma the name of the rose we found. We found it at an old homestead by our house. We also found a pink single rambler. It was suggested that the climber is Cl. American Beauty. What do you think? Hi. What an amazing rose! On my monitor your rose looks red, but I think Cl. Am. Beauty is more deep pink. It doesn't look at all like my Zeph. D. Do you recall if it is fragrant? Are the petal undersides a lighter red color? - it looks that way in your pictures.

Good luck with your cuttings. Might there be "suckers" you can dig up if the entire bush is too large to transplant?
