Hardy white rambler?

My son bought a house in southern Michigan near the Ohio border. The rose in question is growing along the alley and has a single "trunk" that is 4 or 5 inches in diameter at the bottom; from about 6 ft. up or so, the rose has long canes scrambling up into a tree, to a height of 15 ft. - possibly higher. The house was built in 1913. It is a once bloomer, sets small hips and blooms in clusters, 5 petal white blooms. I thought of a multiflora, but the leaves are much more elongated than any multiflora I am familiar with. The clusters of blooms are almost cone shaped. These are the photos my son sent to me. Any thoughts on this rose's identity? Thanks for your help,

Anne
