A rose has been growing for about two years, perhaps even three, under my sycamore tree. I questioned that it could be a rose when I first saw the little sprout, but decided to leave it and see what happened. It seemed unlikely to be a rose because it was a volunteer and secondly it was growing in a very shady area where little else is happy besides sweet woodruff. However this year it has taken off and is growing like crazy. It even had very tiny white blossoms for a few days in late May or early June...I can't quite remember. The leaves are very small. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow if it isn't raining.
I would love it if someone could tell something about what this is.
