They look kind of yellowish in the photo. Ghost Peppers are normally greener. However, they is a yellow Ghost Pepper variety I believe. The shape and texture looks very close to typical Ghost pepper IMO. But I am not real familiar with them as others are. Have you tasted any? Even at this stage, they are likely to be extremely hot.

Bruce, thanks for the response. They are yellowish and have been since they were pea sized. I am not sure what color they should be when its time to pick them. I will be tasting one of the bigger ones later today. I will let you know how it goes LOL. Patrick

Certainly looks like them. why are you tasting them green? Do you have enough time to let them turn red before a cold snap comes? They taste a thousand times better red.

Was going to taste one to see if they were hot. I have plenty of time to let them turn(central Florida), just did not know what color they should turn. I will see if they turn red. Thanks.

Agree it's a ghost they should get a darker green then start to change orange then red. Real nice looking plants and pods.

Beatiful plant you have there. There are dozens of strains of ghost peppers. Some more green when not ripe than others. They look perfect . They should be ripening up very soon. Then you can feel the pain:)

Thank you to all who have answered and commented, I really enjoy gardening, and have since I was little and gardening with my mom. This is the first year I am growing something I might not be able to actually eat. But I will sure give it a shot. If not I will have a lot of chiles to give to friends and family LOL. Welcome, Patrick. A Seabee, eh? In your job you can take peppers to exotic places and plow them under. When I was a kid I lived near the Quonset Point base. We loved to go play on the shore fortifications.

If it is Bhut Jolokia (aka Ghost), then you can eat them, but you can't treat them as candy. I like to nibble chunks - little chunks. The flavor is amazing. And of course they are great in salsa.
