Name That Rose!

Inherited Rose - id?

Hi,

I inherited some roses when I purchased my house a couple of years ago. The spring I cut them all to the ground (I was actually trying to get rid of them)!

This one has finally bloomed. I have no idea what kind of rose it is, or how to care for it.

Would really appreciate any ideas?

Is it fragrant? If so, it looks a lot like one I grow called Mister Lincoln which has been a very popular variety for many years. It could also be a relative called Chrysler Imperial.

It's not terribly difficult to grow roses, and by your photo, yours looks fine. I don't feel comfortable advising you on how to care for it, because what's right for my California roses could be wrong for yours in Kentucky. Our climates and soils are quite different.
