Hmm - this is a little bit interesting. Looks like one that could turn into a little friendly competition between JohnReb and me.

Brandy - form is right, but color is bleached more than normal. Although younger ones may not have as rich a copper in the beginning - appearing with more apricot, instead. Leaves look sharp, so this might be it. Brandy's leaves are not very rounded, having sharply pointed tips, instead. Is new growth dark purple with reddish tinges? New growth on Brandy is quite unique and distinct.

Marilyn Monroe - the color is just right. Marilyn seems to lighten as the sun gets stronger, which might be right for this time of year. The bud looks more like Marilyn, too. Brandy's is often a brilliant copper. Marilyn has very spikey thorns, as does Brandy - but I really see neither in this angle. Marilyn's petals will reflex, flatten and quill, though - it doesn't look like this bloom will go that route.

Just Joey - petals and edges are not ruffled. Color is close, but the form is too far off to be JJ, I think.

In summary, I would have to say Brandy. The color may be lighter from the lighting in the photo, immaturity, or weather conditions. The leaves resemble Brandy, and the bloom's form appears to be just like Brandy. So, I guess Brandy.

A confirmation of the new growth appearance would be helpful, though.
