Blowsy ruffled peach...any ideas?

11 years ago

I had a GORGEOUS, but not very vigorous, rose that I got in a raffle sometime around 1993 (I think). It was marked PEACE and it certainly wasn't that. I just called it 'Blowsy Peach' to have something to call it.

Very peach in color, quite ruffled, incredibly intense scent, HUGE flowers (six inches wasn't unusual at full bloom). Foilage tended to be lighter green and hugely susceptible to what some here call blackspot and others call mildew. It makes huge black spots on leaves and then the leaves all fall off, is all I know.

Bush height was in the 2-3' range, spindly and liked to grow with a lot of air and light between canes and branches.

I loved this rose, and it was my mom's favorite....and I lost the bush when it was girdled by some idiot's rabbit that was dumped in my yard shortly after my mom died;

I REALLY want to find this rose again, both because I loved it and because my mom adored it. Been looking for twelve years now...

As I find more pictures of the blooms, I will post them here.

Any ideas are most welcome.
