Our Before and After Kitchen

We renovated a house in Birmingham, MI from top to bottom, and added a master bathroom addition. Everything was original from 1955. We knocked down a huge supporting wall to open up the kitchen to the living room. Also, some walls in the foyer to open up the floorplan. Upstairs we converted two linen closets to a 2nd floor laundry. Here is our kitchen before and after..

beautiful! we are getting ready to remove a support wall b/t the kitchen and dining room and redoing the kitchen. what type of countertop and cabinets? did you do this yourself or contract it out?

Thanks! We used KSI cabinets, they are called Dura Supreme, and the counteres are Delicatus Granite. When we took down the supporting wall, instead of having a header, we put a big support beam above the ceiling so it would look more open. Good luck with your reno!

we are supposed to be getting our quote today, a little nervous... we are also doing an engineered support beam. may I ask a general amt that it cost for your kitchen reno?

It's hard to say an exact amount because we renovated the whole house but I would say roughly 20k with everything, I posted pics of our living room too that is open to the kitchen, not sure if you saw those..

Wow! I love your new kitchen, well done! Im in NZ and $20 K is cheap for what you got over there! would be around 30 + here! one day in my dreams! I had to admit I had a chuckle when I saw the old phone hanging on the wall, brings back memories of our green one in the 70's! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful reno.
