You're doing ok, except you might want to not hold the camera so close to the roses, that will eliminate that blurry look. What is the name of the first rose?

ramblinrosez is right. Do you notice the roses in the first pic that are farther away are clearer.

Thanks, guys for the helpful hints. Cameras and computers are new to me and very confusing. The first rose is Fourth of July and the red rose is Braveheart. Both are wonderful roses in my garden. I`ll keep trying to improve my skills! Lesley
