I have wanted a chapeau de napoleon for a while now, also known as a crested moss rose, or cristata- But a friend who is a rose propagating wiz never got any cuttings to take.

Has anyone successfully propagated this rose? I am having a really hard time sourcing one to buy, so would love to be able to get a rooted cutting if anyone has any tips.
