I believe this is a mutt and one of the parents is Picture #1 (not sure). Leaves have a light white fuzz, but branches are heavily fuzzy. Also the pepper is bigger and fatter (not as pointy at # 1) and first grow pointed up. The weight eventually force it to point down.

Picture #2:

This one has peppers growing pointed down. Still has the heavy white fuzz on the branches and light fuzz on the leaves.

Trying to get an ID on the parents or a name.

Picture # 3 (pepper plant is about 5 feet tall)

Chili Negro De Arbol , Goat weed , Vietnamese Black Dragon , Black Cobra , black Chile Grande , Black Momba - take your pick. All look like that +/-.

Thanks smokemaster_2007!!!

I think they are Goat's weed (aka Black Cobra). I have a lot in my garden and after googling for pictures, that's what they looks like.

Or from what I remember, that's what we started off with. They get pretty tall and usually survive the winter. Before, the peppers are all erect. But now, after several seasons of Swinger Parties with other peppers, some peppers are not erect or pointy anymore. But still, very tall and fuzzy, almost tree-like. A few of mine are over 5'7".

My guess is that YOU'RE 5'7" and some are taller than you, 0x0is0.

You're in Zone 9. You don't have winter.

Actually I'm from the Bay Area and it does get chilly in the Winter/night time...and windy. I hate the wind more than anything.

SF is Zone 9?? You can freeze your tukhus off there in the summer! I know; I've done it.

[Wull. I got better.]
