It just depends. They can root as quickly as 2 weeks. 4 weeks seems about average for what I rooted (until I saw roots in the cup). I had some that took much longer. So your numbers were accurate. :-)

Up to four months is my experience.

Four months! I hope that is the exception rather than the rule.

Some roses you get roots in 10 days. Others a long time.. it seems if I "peek" then the rooting success lowers significantly (I remove the cutting from the sand to check).

I try to leave things for about 3 weeks before starting to check.... but sometimes it is hard to do :)

I use clear cutting pots, so I can see as soon as there are roots. Again, it depends on the rose, but my Earth Song cuttings just rooted in 13 days, and Royal Amethyst in 15. I have others in there that have not rooted yet, but usually do by day 21. If it took any rose 4 months to root, I would forget about even trying it.
