Are you sure its actually a rose, and not some other genus that has "earned" a commercial nickname? There is no data about a rose by that name in the rose database. Perhaps you read the tag incorrectly? Could it be 'Rhapsody in Blue'?

I have one of these. Michigan bulb sold them ad HT Blue Girl. But there is no real Blue in the Rosa family, as you stated, it blooms a waxy violet. let me know if you want a picture. I have another lavender rose, not sure if it is rootstock or mis-marked, but I didn't buy one that color that time!
