I was removing seeds from the hips of wood roses. It's a good TV watching activity.

Well, I reached up and scratched my throat and it was like getting fiberglass insulation on one's skin. Itchy, itchy, itchy. And it spread when scratched.

I had to stop and give my neck a good hot water and soap scrub with a rough washcloth.

So, be aware, there are fuzzy little fibers in those rose hips that can be irritating to skin. Fortunately, it washed right off.
