Carol, couple of comments - Is it getting the right kind of light and enough of it? It does come from a climate that gets cool, but not very frosty, for part of the year. It gets pretty dry there too, during their winter. So it might need a period of dryness and of cool nights/mild days which would be hard to replicate indoors.

I just moved it into the garage which is semi-heated, but does not freeze. Last year I reduced the water until the stalks died back but that did nothing but cause two more stalks to emerge. It looks very healthy and green. Let's see if the cold will bring it into flower. The plant has been receiving adequate light and some direct sun in a western facing window.Thanks, Davidrt.

Hi Carol, mine are flowering now in Perth Western Australia. Some are in pots, some are in the ground, all are in dappled light or shade. The ones in the ground are in virtual sand, the ones in pots are in free draining potting mix. They flower here in the hottest part of summer.

Carol, your blooms are beautiful. I hope mine will do as well... they are not quite as tall as yours, mine consistenly lose all foliage each winter regardless of temp and water consistency. They bloomed for me two years ago - but seemed to resent being repotted and skipped last year. The plants are healthy, bigger than ever with lots of little pups ringing the older plants..... hope they bloom this year!
